Wheatley Park GCSE Results 2022
Heartfelt congratulations to every single Wheatley Park student from the Class of 2022 on achieving superb GCSE and technical award results.
An exceptional team effort between students, staff, parents/carers and the wider school community has enabled students from all backgrounds and starting places to flourish despite the pandemic arriving mid-way through the 11 to 16 portion of their education.
Long periods of online learning, COVID-related absence and heavily adapted classroom conditions have tested their resilience but not derailed them from the mission of each achieving their personal best, whether this was gaining a clutch of top grades or overcoming significant individual challenges.
United under the slogan, ‘It’s your life - train for it’, students are now enjoying the just reward for their commitment and dedication with the vast majority achieving the grades necessary to progress to their preferred destinations in education or training.
And exam results aside, the Class of 2022 leave behind a legacy to be immensely proud of at Wheatley Park, having exemplified our values of Everyone Learning and Everyone Caring at every opportunity.
For those students not returning to us in the Sixth Form this September, we wish you all the very best for the future, and thank you for being such highly valued members of our school community.

Wheatley Park A-Level and AS-Level Results 2022
Wheatley Park School offers huge congratulations to our Year 12 and Year 13 students on their A level, AS level and VTQ results this year.
Our students have shown true grit and steely determination to overcome the significant challenges caused by the pandemic and achieve richly deserved successes.
The vast majority of Year 13 students gained the grades necessary to reach their preferred destinations. Out of a cohort of 105 students, about 70% will be heading to universities with the remainder taking up apprenticeships or employment.
Amongst the many outstanding individual achievements, previous Head Student, Samuel Hinks, achieved four A*s in maths, further maths, chemistry and physics to secure his place on an engineering degree at Cambridge University.
He thanked the staff and wider school community for all the amazing help and support before, during and after the pandemic that have made everyone’s achievements possible.
At A level, 31% of students’ grades were at A* to A and 61% were at A* to B. These figures cannot be compared directly with previous years because grade boundaries have been adjusted nationally as a way of transitioning back from a school-based assessment system in 2020 and 2021 to the standard examinations students sat this year.
This year is very much about celebrating the extraordinary resilience and positivity Wheatley Park students have demonstrated in the face of adversity.
In addition to their strong academic outcomes, we are incredibly proud that they have consistently lived up to our school values of Everyone Learning and Everyone Caring. We thank them for role-modelling these values so well and wish them every success in the future.
